This year I took the winter camping course with the Mountaineers, the group I do a lot of hiking and backpacking with, and it was awesome! We headed down to Mt. Rainier and camped near Paradise, snowshoeing in about an hour before setting up camp. By the time we left camp the following day, we were in a blizzard but that certainly did not make the experience any less memorable. Already planning another one to Mt. Baker!
